KITCHEN KNIVES & CUTTING
A carving fork is a large fork with long teeth. You can use a carving fork to turn meat or move it during cooking or keeping it in place when cutting. That prevents you from touching the meat too much. The length of the points is between 15 and 20 cm.
Straight or curved?
Carving forks are available with round and curved teeth. The teeth can also be made from rounded or rectangular steel. They of course are perfect for all tasks, but a fork with curved teeth is more suitable for turning the meat in the pan. But then again a fork with straight teeth is better for slicing meat. And it fits in a knife block more easily!
