Morakniv Classic knives: as they used to make them in the past!
Morakniv Classic knives are still being produced according to the designs from the 19th century. This just goes to show how good these knives are! These knives have always been used around farms and in the forest. Nowadays, they are also used for woodcarving and light bushcraft tasks.
Features of Morakniv Classic knives
A characterizing feature of the Classic collection is the red colour. You might recognize this shade from Sweden's red wooden houses. Do you prefer a more natural look? No problem, the Classic is also available in natural wood colours.
Morakniv Classic: blade
Many of Morakniv's knives have carbon-steel blades. This steel is shaped at very high temperatures, and it's easy to sharpen. As this steel is not corrosion resistant, maintenance is key. Make sure to store the knife in a dry place.
Morakniv Classic: handle
The Classic has a simple, birch-wood handle which adds a natural and warm look to the knife. The handle has a classic, Scandinavian shape and offers a great grip. Morakniv Classic knives come with simple plastic sheaths wtih a leather belt loop.
Morakniv Classic: sheath
Many models in the Classic collection come with a small hole at the end of the sheath, through which you can attach a lanyard. With this, you can easily attach the Classic to your belt or backpack.
This knife was traditionally used for jobs in and around the house, wood carving and other bushcraft tasks. A true classic for an appealing price. Made in Sweden.
