Wüsthof Ikon kitchen knives
The Ikon series is the showpiece of Wüsthof. The kitchen knives have the same ergonomic characteristics as the Classic Ikon series. The handles of these knives are made of African Grenadill wood, a very precious and water repellent tropical wood species.
Features of the Wüsthof Ikon series
Wüsthof Ikon knives are designed for comfort and control. The ergonomic handle fits comfortably in the hand and feels natural, even during prolonged cutting. Each knife is forged from a single piece of stainless steel. This gives it good balance and a stable feel when cutting, just what you would expect from a series in this category.
The Ikon series is especially pleasant to use because it has no full-length bolster between the handle and blade. You can use the full blade length when cutting, which is practical and makes sharpening the knife yourself easier. Like other Wüsthof knives, Ikon knives are sharpened with laser precision, so they are sharp straight out of the box and retain their sharpness well with normal use.
The series includes kitchen knives such as chef's knives, bread knives and the ever-popular santoku, as well as complete knife sets. Choose the knives that suit your style. This series is also available with a black or white plastic handle. Explore the Wüsthof Classic Ikon series and the Wüsthof Classic Ikon White series.
Wüsthof Ikon: African blackwood handle
The handle is made from African blackwood, a dense, water-repellent wood known for its deep, dark colour. It feels warmer than plastic handles and gives the knives a stylish, almost classic look.
The handle is attached to the stainless steel blade with three distinctive, sturdy rivets. That makes the Wüsthof Ikon series a great choice if performance and appearance matter equally to you.
