Benchmade Water Class features
This Class contains Benchmade knives designed for maritime purposes. This is reflected in the use of materials and special features.
Water Class blades
The knives in this Class feature blades made from MagnaCut steel. This is a stainless type of steel with excellent sharpness retention. It's also easy to sharpen. As such, it's a perfect type of steel for demanding tasks around water.
Water Class handles
Above all else, the handles of the knives in this Class need to be grippy in all conditions. This comes in handy when you are preparing the fish you caught or when your hands are wet. The handles are made from a material called Santoprene, a lightweight and grippy material. For the pocket knives, however, Benchmade uses Grivory, a lightweight glass-fibre reinforced plastic.
Water Class orange colour
Within this series, you will also see the use of orange colour accents like an orange paracord lanyard. It's a striking colour that will help you find the knife should you accidentally drop it in the water.
