There are different types of folding saws. The advantage of a tension saw is that these often have a coarser blade meant for cutting wet wood. What size folding saw do I need?

To figure out what size folding saw you need, it's important to consider the size of the wood you're planning to cut. As a general rule of thumb, the following applies: the maximum wood size a foldable saw can handle is about half the length of the saw blade. For example, with the Silky Gomboy 240 you can comfortably cut wood with a 120-mm diameter. The size of wood you can cut with a tension saw is limited to the height of the frame.
