My second axe from Mizuno was bought mainly for carpentry work.
Overall impression and experience is excellent, the list of modifications I made for perfection:
Plugged the drilled hole in the handle.
Made a blade protector from thicker leather (can't upload images).
As you can see in the illustrative picture, the handle is parallel with the top end. I made it parallel with the blade.
The blade is sharp, but not razor sharp. For any work with hardwood, leave it as it is, for working with softwood, it needs more honing with stones cca 10 000 grain...


Axt schneidet gut, vernünftiges Gewichtsverhältnis von Kopf zu Stiehl.
Der Klingenschoner bzw Halfter ist sehr mager, keine Möglichkeit am Gürtel zu tragen und Verschluss ist nach 10 mal öffnen abgegangen. Das es nur verklebt ist kann man es einfach wieder randrücken ist aber ärgerlich. Der raustehende Keil ist etwas unpraktisch, aber man kann damit umgehen.


Geniale und wunderschöne Axt. Sehr scharf zum Spalten von kleinen Scheiteln!

bonne hache mais moins finie que celle un prix plus élevé, coin non complétement enfoncé, vernis de lame avec quelques bavures, pas d'inscription de marque, ce modèle est donc un peu moins fini que la précédent que j'avais acheté, cela reste une très belle hache avec du caractère pour du bois pas trop épais
