My second axe from Mizuno was bought mainly for carpentry work. Overall impression and experience is excellent, the list of modifications I made for perfection: Plugged the drilled hole in the handle. Made a blade protector from thicker leather (can't upload images). As you can see in the illustrative picture, the handle is parallel with the top end. I made it parallel with the blade. The blade is sharp, but not razor sharp. For any work with hardwood, leave it as it is, for working with softwood, it needs more honing with stones cca 10 000 grain...
