I bought this axe to replace a similar one I use for splitting logs. The length, weight and balance are ideally suited for this. The handle offers a good grip and the blade does the job well. Anything bigger would not necessarily be any better unless you fancy yourself as a lumberjack!

Well made, grind quality could be improved but totally acceptable for the price, great for splitting hardwood rounds and chipping kindling alike, would recommend.
