I have never had the time or the patience to be able to sharpen a knife back to "factory" sharp. However, this piece of equipment is easy to use and performs very well.

Decided time for a proper precision shapener as doing by eye has not worked as knives have lost their true edge angles. Had to do quite a bit of metal removal with this tool, however it was easy to use and the 320 grit stone made short work of resetting edge angles on all my kitchen knives. Also managed to put a shaving sharp edge on my skinning knife so very happy with this sharpeners performance.

Knife sharpener works very well! There are plenty of instructional videos on YouTube. When using it for the first time, it takes some getting used to, but it is very easy to use!

Easy to use and set up. Knives needed a complete reset after years of manual whetstone sharpening had made a mess of the edge. This took some time, but once edges are set, re-sharpening takes minutes. And sharp edges are the order of the day. A 800 stone would the useful as the jump from 600 to ceramic is quite big, but you can still get a sharp blade with the standard kit. After years of trying to get a properly sharp edge with whetstones, I'm glad I've given up and gone with this system.
