I've owned many knife sharpeners and grindstones and this little beauty is probably the best of them. Reasonably priced and delivered very promptly, I was up and running in no time. This has only been used on kitchen knives and it seems best to keep up the edge regularly rather than wait long periods between sharpening. The only quibble is that a storage case would be nice addition but it does pack away neatly in my kitchen at least.

Really impressed so far with this piece of kit. Re-profiled and sharpened all my kitchen knives to razor sharp edge. Only time will tell how long the sharpening stones hold up but for now I'm ver happy!

Ideal for small blades. It can accommodate large blades but an unstable platform due to weight. You end up holding the whole apparatus in one hand and filing with the other.Ideally it could do with corner holes in the base to screw onto a heavy platform. That would allow your otherwise occupied hand to be freed up for working and better ergonomics. The angle guides are not great there are no indents to lock into. You rely on hash marks by line of sight and screw to tighten. I use an angle guide on the sliding arm instead of using the hash mark scale. Overall its good and does a decent job.
