The **TOPS B.O.B. Fieldcraft** is a fixed knife, designed for bushcraft enthusiasts by the Brothers of Bushcraft. This is a coalition of bushcraft enthusiasts in North America. They share their knowledge of bushcraft and nature. This Fieldcraft knife is the result of a cooperation in which all experiences of survival in multiple circumstances are combined in one ultimate bushcraft knife.

 The blade is made from 154CM-steel. A stainless type of steel that originally comes from the aviation industry. The flat parts have been enhanced with a coarse stonewashed finish. The grind has a satin finish. The scandi-grind is easy to sharpen and comes with a slightly convex shape towards the edge.

 The micarta handle is enhanced with a cut-out on both sides The tang of the blade sticks out at the back of the handle to make sure you don't put too much strain on the micarta handle while batoning. On the pommel you will also find a cut-out to safely use a firesteel.

 The knife comes with a solid kydex sheath. With the solid steel belt clip you can easily attach it to your belt. On the side of the sheath you will find a firesteel which turns this knife into a complete tool you can take on the world with.

Coteau extrêmement fiable ! 

Le manche est un peu long comparé à la lame.

Das tops knives B.O.B fieldcraft in 154CM Stahl. ±1 Jahr ist seit dem Kauf vergangen und hier ist ein kleines Review. Was'n tolles Teil. Zum Kauf hat mich das "Review" von dutch bushcraft knives überzeugt. Das ist mein erstes bushcraft Messer also erwartet bitte keinen Vergleich zu einem anderen. Vor dem Kauf hatte ich mehrere Kriterien. Zum einen eine max. Klingenlänge von 12cm, mind. rostträger Stahl (kein 1095!), eine HRC von nahe 60, convex/scandi grind und kydex Scheide. Knivesandtools.de ist dabei eine große Hilfe gewesen, auch ohne den Kundenservice zu fragen.
Zur Bestellung muss ich sagen, dass es damals (kurz vor Rona) auch schon mindestens zwei Wochen gedauert hat bis die Lieferung kam. Wurde wahrscheinlich aus den USA bestellt und dann zu mir distributed. War aber okay, da freut man sich umso mehr. Nun zum Messer selbst. Die kleine Kette mit der Pfeife hats bei Zeiten abgeruppt. Der Feuerstahl erfüllt seinen Zweck sehr gut und die Montage hat Maße, die es ermöglichen einen x-beliebigen nachkaufen zu können. Allerdings musste ich den spine (Klingenrücken) plain schleifen, da er mit dem coating versehen war und somit bei mir NICHT scharf war. Die factory sharpness war gut, ging aber gefühlt schnell runter. Das Nachschärfen geht wirklich sehr einfach und dieses Messer im speziellen verhalf mir zu einem neuentdeckten Talent / Leidenschaft. Mittlerweile hat's sogar ein mirror finish bekommen. Zum feuermachen ( batoning, firesteel scrapen, umrühren) reichts allemal. Ich hatte einmal Europaletten als Brennmaterial und es kam, wie es kommen musste. Ich erwischte einen Nagel. Ich war im Flow und hackte das Teil einfach mit durch. Die Klinge war danach zwar "gechipt" wie man so schön sagt aber das war auch schnell wieder rausgeschliffen. Scandivex4president. Ich liebe dieses Messer sehr und mittlerweile führe ich es, verdeckt als EDC festgeclipst in der Hosentasche, mit mir. Ist ja kein Problem da es "nur" 11,7cm lang ist und 12cm darf ich bei mir haben. Mit der Scheide hihihi bin ich auch sehr zufrieden, kydex ist ein tolles Material. Anfangs hatte ich den Eindruck meine Scheide macht die Klinge Stumpf. Denn ab und zu hatte ich so schwarze Plaste-shavings an der Klinge. Mittlerweile nicht mehr. Kann daran liegen, dass ich das Teil mal auseinander gebaut hatte um Dreck raus zu waschen und dadurch das ganze bisschen biegen musste. Also wie gesagt, eine ganze klare Kaufempfehlung auch meinerseits, WENN es in 154CM ist, da ich 1095 carbon steel nicht mag. Obwohl ich keine richtige Ahnung habe, wohlgemerkt. Aber ich für meinen Teil habe 219€ gut investiert und wenn alles weiter so läuft kann ich dieses Werkzeug an einen Enkel vererben wenns soweit kommen sollte. This knive is a beefy piece of equipment, it weights around 300g and batons like crazy. Schnitzereien muss ich demnächst mal ausprobieren. Ist durch den 5mm Klingenrücken bestimmt nicht ganz so einfach, wie auch food prep, etc. Danke fürs Lesen & eine schöne Zeit.

Sehr gutes Messer!

Perfekte Führigkeit, schnittig, unkaputtbar, ausgewogen. Legal tragbar, dafür sehr angenehm bullig. Lieblingsstück!
Die Scheide sitzt zu eng, Messer dadurch etwas schwerfällig zu ziehen. Bloß Scheide beim Ziehen nicht zu weit mit der zweiten Hand oben gegenhalten, die Scheide verjüngt sich (saudummerweise!!!) oben und die megescharfe Klinge schießt beim Auslösen die letzten 3 Zentimeter am oberen Scheidenende völlig ungeschützt raus!!
Beim ersten Ziehen des Messers hat sich die Klinge mit einem tiefen Schnitt in die linke Zeigefingerkuppe eindrucksvoll vorgestellt. Glücklicherweise hat der Knochen den Schnitt gebremst und die Kuppe konnte genäht werden.
Wäre vielleicht ein wichtiger Hinweis an den Hersteller!

Erg goed en zeer degelijk mes.
Handvat is goed gevormd en perfect voor grote handen.
154cm is volgens mij beter staal dan koolstofstaal. Het is in ieder geval erg scherp te slijpen De dikte en daarom stijfheid van het lemmet is ook fijn bij zwaar snijwerk.
