I have used the Sharpmaker on a Buck Bantam 285 and also on a Leatherman C33T and both blades have come out fit for purpose sharp. Hair shaving sharp on the buck. If you can hold the blade vertically and have normal hand eye coordination, you can use the sharp maker because it is that easy. I work in a shop and use the Leatherman to open newspaper and magazine bundles and stock packaging from cash and carry and the buck to cut cardboard boxes for easier recycling so both knives are working knives so when the blades dull, I don't have to send them away for resharpening.
