Ich habe viele Banksteine aus der Shapton Glass HR Serie und erhoffte mir nun das Optimum.
Der 8000 Stein erreichte den schon fast perfekten Spiegel.
Wie kann es dann sein, daß ein so feiner und dann noch sehr teurer Stein deutliche Kratzer im Finish des 8000 hinterläßt?
In der Beschreibung heißt es:
"Mit diesem Schleifstein kannst Du jeden noch so kleinen Kratzer und jede Unebenheit aus der Schneide entfernen." 
Bei meinem Exemplar war das Gegenteil der Fall.
der Stein ging leider retour, auch wenn das Schärfergebnis gut war.
Bei dem Preis erwarte ich, daß die Werbeversprechen zumindest annähernd eingehalten werden.
Ich hoffe, daß es hier lediglich ein "Montagsprodukt" war, was ja vorkommen kann - nur deshalb fällt meine Bewertung nicht ganz so negativ aus.

The Shapton 30k is a very good stone, barely takes any water and polishes pretty quickly. I use it for straight razor honing and it works perfectly well. After I am done on this stone, only thing left to do is strop them on leather. The edges end up being super keen and also comfortable.

Overall, I am very pleased with the upgrade, my thick beard & face says thousand thanks!

Mooie steen .  Om te polijsten!
Eigenlijk is het toch wel aan de dure kant. Voor het polijsten gaat ie erg lekker lang mee.
Ikzelf heb een 1000 grit steen een keer laten vallen, kunnen ze niet goed tegen ..
Heb nieuwe gekocht. Dus opletten geblazen!
Al met al heb de 30000 gekocht en hij is goed om er mee fijn te werken.
Ikzelf zat al eerder te denken om een leren strop aan te schaffen maar heb toch voor de polijst steen gekozen.
De allerbeste afwerking nà de polijststeen even op een stapel kranten aan te zetten. Duurt niet lang en dan is het lemmet zeker braamvrij! 
ik ben er blij mee en dat is het allerbelangrijkste!
