The **Rough Ryder Large Stockman** is a cool, traditional pocket knife. It follows the classic stockman pattern. This knife is enhanced with three blades: clippoint, sheepsfoot and pen. All traditional shapes that perfectly fit a pocket knife such as this. You open both with two hands and a slipjoint prevents unintentional closing, even though it won't completely lock the blades. As such you can legally carry this pocket knife in many places in Europe.

## T10 carbon steel

T10 is a type of carbon steel. This means that it is easy to sharpen razor-sharp. But please note: T10 is not stainless! It will discolour in time and form a patina. And if you don't treat it at all, it will even start to rust. So clean it after use and occasionally add a few drops of oil to the blade. Carbon steel such as this is really a traditional option: in the past all knives were made from this type of steel.

## Micarta handle

The handle is made from black micarta. A composite material made from textile and plastic. With subtle blue accents against the edges of the bolsters.

Rough Ryder Knives is a brand with a rich history. For over 25 years this brand is known for its excellent price-quality ratio. Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.

Encore un super traditionnel de RR, en acier carbone, tranchant comme un rasoir sur ses 3 lames. Parfait, avec manche bien grippant, half-stops sur les lames, etc... Que demande le peuple pour ce tarif là ?

Das Messer kommt ab Werk sehr scharf an und ist mit seinen 3 Klingen universal einsetzbar. Die Verarbeitung ist (obwohl in China produziert) top, die Klingen sind alle fest und das Design sehr schön. Bei mir wird das Rough Rider Classic (vom Nessmuk Trio inspiriert) bei Wanderungen oder Trekkingtouren als Bachup-Messer eingesetzt - oder einfach mal so zum Spaziren gehen eingesteckt. Ich, für meinen Teil, bin von diesem Stockman begeistert.
