The **LionSteel M5** is an all-round fixed knife. This knife can be used as a survival knife but it is also a great hunting knife. The Sleipner steel blade is hardened up to 60-61 HRC. The length of the blade of this knife is 11.5 cm. On the spine of the blade, around the transition of the handle, you find a small protrusion. So small you hardly notice it, but large enough to offer your thumb more grip. The entire spine has a lovely finish, something we often see on Italian knives. The G10 handle is beautifully decorated and has subtle grip grooves. These give the knife a graceful and elegant look and feel.

Ein sehr schön verarbeitetes Messer, (zumindest bei mir) sehr scharf ootb. Auch nach mehreren Einsätzen der etwas härteren Gangart noch voll zufrieden.

Der einzige nicht so optimale Punkt an einem fast perfekten Messer:

Die kleine Kerbe vor dem Griff - kann mir jemand sagen zu was die zu gebrauchen sein könnte? (Für den Finger beim Schnitzen zu klein, für den Feuerstahl zu klein, aber groß genug sich das Putztuch zu zerreißen) Für einen Tipp wäre ich echt dankbar! Das wäre die einzige Verbesserung die ich mir an dem Messer wünschen würde - Ausbuchtung weg lassen!

Jetzt das Positive:
Für mich ein echter Handschmeichler. Ich finde es sehr gut, das oben KEINE Riffelung an der Klinge ist.  Die leichte Wölbung verleiht einen hervorragenden Halt bei allen Arbeiten. Feuerstahl Bedienung benötige ich nicht, da ziehe ich mir diese Variante vor. 
Der Stahl ist sehr Schnitthaltig. Betonieren geht hervorragend. Die mitgelieferte Messerscheide ist nicht so hübsch wie eine aus Leder, bietet jedoch viele Möglichkeiten zu Befestigung und als echt gute Möglichkeit einen Schleifstein mit unter zu bringen. Ich nutze diesen:

Also ich habe einige gute Messer, aber das hier habe ich direkt ins Herz geschlossen.

Kleiner Hinweis noch: der Stahl ist nur Rostträge!!! Ist kein Minuspunkt, man muss es nur bei der Pflege beachten!
