I wanted a small pocket sized axe stone to use in the field The lansky Puck fits the bill perfectly I have used it on three of my axes a side axe a hatchet and a French bearded works perfectly giving a very acceptable edge (I use oil to lubricate)

A lot of people recommend to use honing oil with this puck, i only had some 3-in-1 though which did not work well. I tried it with water and it worked amazing l, pet the slurry build up on the edge to get grind away material evenly!
