The **Helle Skog 83** is a versatile wood carving knife. The design was inspired by an evening around the campfire. Spending a nice night by the fire with friends and family exchanging stories. In the meantime you carve out a spoon or other camping tool. Creating your own gear. That is what bushcraft is all about!

 The handle might look really simple at first glance. The beech wood is nicely styled, and exactly so that you don't have *hot-spots* that irritate your hands after long-term use. The blade is made from laminated stainless steel. A core of stainless steel which retains its sharpness well is laminated in between extra stainless steel layers of 18/10 steel. The blade is nicely polished for an extra luxurious look and feel.

 The Helle Skoh 83 comes with a simple leather Scandinavian-style sheath.

Dit mes overtrof mijn verwachting wat betreft houtsnijden. Het handvat mist een beetje karakter maar het mes is een mooie aanwinst voor houtsnijwerk. Leuk dat het roestvrij is. 
De lederen schede is het grote minpunt, past niet bij het mes.

I love the knife. It's great as an outdoor wood carving tool. What I am dissapointed about is the sheath. The leather is rather hard, it has a plasticky feel and it's like an inch or more longer than the knife. Furthermore, the knife just squeezes in rather than fits in it. It's like a generic sheath that just happens to work with the Skog.
