Reviews for BeaverCraft AX6 Compact Long Bearded Bushcraft Hatchet, hand axe

Firstly this is a budget axe but I'm a little confused as to the purpose of this axe. It is neither a splitter or a carving axe. The profile is terrible and out of the box was very blunt. This axe needs the cutting edge completely re-profiling to make it a useable cutting tool. The quality of the handle is good. It could be a great axe with a little more thought, but in its current form is very poor. I suppose to be fair to this axe you could call it an allrounder as it is described as a bushcraft axe, but it certainly would NOT be my axe of choice on a bushcraft expedition. Very disappointed and would not recommend this axe.

I haven't tried it yet, but first impressions...nice ax with a nice sheath.
