Full description
The Zwilling Twin 1731 seven-piece knife block combines the most exceptional materials and a stunning design with perfect cutting properties. The knives are designed by the famous Italian designer Matteo Thun.
Ebony handles
Thun developed the ergonomic handle from oiled ebony wood, an incredibly heavy, dark type of wood, that is becoming increasingly rare. The handles are designed as such that they are considered to be an extension of the hand. The wedge at the base of the handle supports a professional grip, with the thumb and index finger placed on the blade.
Top-quality Cronidur 30-steel
The blades of these Zwilling Twin kitchen knives are made from Cronidur 30-steel. This type of steel is mostly used in the aviation and aerospace industry and characterized by an impressive toughness and corrosion resistance. By combining these features with Zwilling's ice hardening technique this blade is incredibly sharp and sustainable.
The knives are forged according to Zwilling's Sigmaforce-method. This means that the blades are forged from one piece of steel, which results in a rock-solid, balanced and flexible blade. With the help of laser technology the knives are enhanced with a razor-sharp edge, after which they are polished by hand by expert master sharpeners.
