The **TSPROF Boride T2 sharpening stones** are made from aluminium oxide with a very tough bonding agent. The stones quickly remove material and hardly wear out. Boride states that the T2-collection is the best collection to sharpen stainless steel. You can, however, also sharpen other types of steel with these sharpening stones.

## Boride T2 sharpening stones

The sharpening stones are made from aluminium oxide and are feature a very tough bonding agent. The stones quickly remove material and hardly wear out. Boride states that the T2-collection is the best collection to sharpen stainless steel. You can, however, also sharpen other types of steel with these sharpening stones. It's best to use these sharpening stones with a bit of [sharpening oil](/en/pt/-skerper-premium-honing-oil-sa01.htm). Please note: if you choose to use sharpening oil on a specific stone once, you will always need to use sharpening oil for that stone. Water is not effective on a sharpening that has already been used with sharpening oil. 

## Boride grit size

Boride determines the grit sizes of its sharpening stones based on the FEPA (Federation of European Producers of Abrasives) standard. The finest F1000 grit sharpening stone roughly corresponds to a J2800 grit Japanese sharpening stone. As a result, the sharpening result is finer than you might initially expect.
