To Start with, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE, and don't waste your money, there are far better options out available to perform this knives primary job which is chopping because for any other use it is poor at doing. The top of the handle below the choil (the semi circular cut out in the steel) is way too narrow to be able to grip firmly. The Micarta handle scales (the black pieces of material on both sides of the knife CANNOT be removed so they CANNOT be replaced with thicker ones to fit the size of hand that you have. I have medium to large hands but the neck of the handle is much to thin too provide a comfortable grip. The thickness of the blade at 6.3mm is too think to make this knife good at cutting, at 5mm it would have been good. Elmax steel has dropped in price and costs less than M390 now and it costs more to put a convex secondary bevel (cutting edge reaching back to the main sides of the knife blade) on the blade which would have been the right choice for this knife as the function it performs ok at is chopping and concave edged knives are best at that. I wish that I hadn't wasted my money on a knife that is made to look good but does not perform well.
