This Spyderco Bench Stone is a large sharpening stone measuring 20.3 cm long and 7.5 cm wide. The sharpening stone is a steel plate coated with small particles of cubic boron nitride. Cubic boron nitride has almost the same hardness as diamond. It sharpens knives fast, meaning that the stone won't wear out quickly, even when sharpening knives with an extremely hard steel.

Expectations
The sharpening process left me very satisfied as the cbn particles seem to cut very fast and clean. The quality of the stone , though, could be a little better. It wasn't dead flat out of the box, it had a curve (which i managed to almost straighten on a manual press i have). It also wasn't the same thickness along it's length. in the middle it was about 0,20mm thicker than it was on the two ends.
