## How do you use a Skerper Professional sharpening stone?

Before use, you need to submerge the stone in water. You submerge the stone completely and wait about five minutes. Or until you no longer see bubbles coming from the stone. Before you start sharpening, place the stone on a (not included) universal sharpening stone holder. The less contact the stone makes with the surface, the less water will be sucked through the stone. This is especially key for the 220 stone because the water quickly soaks through the coarse grain.

Make sure the surface of the stone remains wet during use. If it is not the results will be disappointing, and it can even damage the stone. Sharpen the knife on one side until you feel a burr over the entire length of the edge. Now sharpen the other side of the edge until you feel another burr. Now you need to lightly move the edge over the stone to carefully remove the burr. Do you no longer feel the burr? If so, you can switch to a finer stone.

Mooie complete set aan slijpstenen en houder. Op de omschrijving staat dat de sinkbridge ten minste 37cm nodig heeft, maar tot 36.5cm past het ook nog. 
De stenen zijn een mooie upgrade tov basis combinatieslijpstenen van Skerper. Ze zijn zowel langer als breder en maar één korrelgrootte per steen zodat je er nog langer plezier van hebt (dikker bruikbaar deel). 

Je moet er wel rekening mee houden dat de lagere korrelgrootte stenen ook langer nat blijven, dus laat die goed drogen voordat je ze opbergt. Mijn (en inmiddels die van vrienden en familie) messen zijn weer vlijmscherp.
