The Shapton RockStar 60106 coarse, J500 grit, 25 micron, sharpening stone is a coarse sharpening stone from the Shapton RockStar series. These sharpening stones are made of high-quality white aluminium oxide. This is a synthetic, ceramic material that is incredibly tough, and can accurately be produced in an exact grain size. The result? Very consistent sharpening results! You use a coarse sharpening stone for sharpening very blunt knives.
