The **Marttiini Aapa** embodies the ruggedness of the Finnish wetlands. The model combines the features of two traditional Finnish knives: the blade of a classic Lapp knife and the handle of a Lynx knife. The blade is made of forged carbon steel and the handle is a mix of reindeer antlers and curly birch waxed in a tar shade. 

## Forged 80CrV2 steel blade

The blade is made from carbon steel, giving the knife an authentic look and feel. To enhance this rustic appearance even more, the blade still shows hammer blows. Please note that this type of steel is not stainless. Dry the knife after use and apply a coat of oil every once in a while. 

## Handle made of curly birch and reindeer antlers

The handle is made from curly birch and reindeer antlers. This was traditionally done for a beautiful look. Thanks to the vibrant grain of the wood, your knife will be unique. The birch wood is finished with a coloured wax, giving a dark touch.
