Fällkniven A1nz Zytel sheath, survival knife

The knife is flawless and the sheath works well. It is made of VGWolf steel, which is theoretically better than Vg10.

I wanted this knife for over a decade but always ended up buying something smaller. A YouTuber called AlaskanFrontier1 declared that the latest Fallkniven's (A1, S1 2024) had moved to a harder compound for the handles that was unconfortable and almost put me off buying. Glad I went for it. The rubber isn't hard, it's very soft and grippy. Not as soft as my SRK 3V but definitely not hard or plasticky. It's very comfortable to hold and as I use it seems to become less smooth and more grippy. The blade is fantastic, a perfect convex is a pleasure to see and use. Out of the box I could have shaved with it no problem. I don't know if VG10W is really any different to VG10 but I don't care, it carves, feathers, splits and chops great and the convex edge really lasts. It isn't heavy in the hand. Nimble despite its 310g weight. The new sheath is brilliant, great fit and secure locking and so light. I knew it would be as I have the F1x with the same style of sheath. Yes I wish the belt look was wider but I wish that with all the 3 Fallknivens.
