The **ESEE Ashley Game Knife** is a robust and practical hunting knife, designed by Ashley Emerson. Emerson is a real hunting expert. He used his years of experience to turn the ESEE AGK into a practical, no-nonsense hunting knife. Function over form. The shape of the blade might remind you of a classic butcher's knife. Not a coincidence, of course. Perfect when gutting game and removing bones. The belly of the blade is quite remarkable to make sure you can quickly get the job done. The handle is ergonomically shaped. The large finger groove at the front of the handle ensures you won't slip and end up on the blade.

## CPM S35VN blade

This is a stainless version of the original 1095 knife. S35VN is an improved variant of S30V steel, thanks to some additions to increase toughness. The toughness of this steel matches Ashley Emerson's design and user's philosophy. Primarily a knife is meant to be used for the normal cutting tasks. But it is also a tool. Even though we don't recommend it, Emerson believes that in case of an emergency you should also be able to dig a hole with your knife. Sure, it will make your knife dull, but this steel is easy to sharpen. S35VN is a steel that loses its razor-sharpness fairly quickly, but retains a good 'working edge' for a very long time afterwards. A perfect steel for ESEE's mindset.

## Micarta handle

The handle is made from brown micarta. A composite material made from linen and synthetic resin, which provides excellent grip in both dry and wet circumstances. In addition, it is incredibly lightweight, no wonder Bob Loveless once called it the best handle material.
