This **Wüsthof Classic four piece knife set** consist of a chef's knife, curving knife, paring knife and a honing steel. All of them a real classic in the kitchens of many amateur and professional chefs. The blades are truly razor-sharp, the handles ergonomically designed and riveted in the traditional way with three rivets. The crop protects your fingers against undesirable contact with the edges. What more does a real cook lover want?

 It is for a reason that the Wüsthof Classic collection is the most popular collection in our extensive Wüsthof range. Each imaginable knife is available and each knife adheres to the highest demands. Like any Wüsthof Classic knife this knife is a combination of a forged blade and a handle made from black POM, an incredibly sustainable plastic. This handle can handle any substance you will find in the kitchen, is seamless and, of course, riveted to the blade without any leeway.

 The forged blade from chromium-vanadium steel(X50CrMoV15) is forged from one piece of steel and is extremely sharp upon delivery. Each knife is sharpened using Wüsthof's PEtec technology with laser technique and precision until ultimate sharpness is achieved. This means that for each blade the sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. Afterwards the blade is sharpened with laser precision on a wet sharpening stone. The result is a razor-sharp knife that is amazing to work with.

 After thorough inspection each knife will leave the production line, for a long life of intensive use. Both amateur and professional chefs often work with these kitchen knives. They are enhanced with the NSF hygiene mark.

We measure the sharpening angle ourselves. This value is the angle per side.  So 20º means that the total angle of the edge is 40º. Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
