The **Bark River Fox River Featherweight** is a light hunting knife. The original Fox River has been one of the most popular Bark River hunting knives for years. This Featherweight version is a compact and light version of this amazing knife. Because the blade is also a little thinner this knife is absolutely amazing to work with. It is a real *slicer*. Not only perfect for hunting purposes, but also as a light bushcraft knife. 

 The blade is made from Böhler Elmax steel. An incredibly stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. A type of ultimate combination of the wear resistance of carbon with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can [maintain by stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm). 

 The handle is made from Desert Ironwood. A type of hardwood mainly found in the United States and Mexico. Characterizing is the beautiful colour and the rich pattern. This great type of wood makes the knife look extra luxurious.

 The Bark River Bravo Lightweight comes with a leather belt sheath (max. belt width 5.6 cm).

 Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
