The **Victorinox Wine Master** is an incredibly fancy pocket knife with a double lever corkscrew. A type of waiter’s corkscrew but enhanced with a knife you can use to cut a piece of cheese or sausage. The perfect wingman for any gentleman.


We all know Victorinox from its amazing Swiss pocket knives. In the basis this Wine Master closely resembles the Ranger grip models. These models are also enhanced with a corkscrew but are not as special as this Wine Master. After all this tool comes with a double lever corkscrew which will enable you to remove any cork in two steps. It doesn’t matter how stuck it is you can remove it without breaking. In addition, the Wine Master has been equipped with a foil cutter. After all you wouldn’t want to remove the foil with the knife because it could affect the sharpness of the blade.


Guests joining you who don’t drink wine will also be pleased with the Victorinox Wine Master because it comes with a bottle opener you can use to remove crown caps.


When opened this pocket knife is locked with a beautiful lock. A combination between a linerlock and a buttonlock. Linerlock in terms of lock, buttonlock in terms of controls. As such the knife will never close when you don’t want it to. A safe feeling, when you decide to open another bottle…

Ik heb er gelijk 3 gekocht... Eentje voor mezelf en 2 voor de getuigen bij ons huwelijk. Net als mijn getuigen getuige zijn bij een mooi moment hoop ik dat dit mes voor hen een stille getuige mag zijn van menig mooie momenten.
En anders blijft het nog steeds een mooie herinnering. :-)

- Het mes ligt goed in de hand, het olijven handvat is ergonomisch gevormd wat uitglijden voorkomt. Het olijvenhout vond ik persoonlijk heel droog aanvoelen bij levering. Dit komt omdat de poriën nog geopend zijn. Niet gelakt, niet gebeitst. Puur natuur dus. Voor mezelf heb ik 'm gelijk ingewreven met olijfolie, en sindsdien voelt ie -voor mij- perfect. 
- De liner lock blokkeert het mes zoals het hoort, en deblokkeren doe je door op het Zwitsers wapenschild te blijven drukken en dan het mes toe te vouwen. Ik vermeld het omdat ik dit aan den lijve heb moeten ondervinden. :-) Het mes is maw écht scherp. Een droge worst ging in plakjes zonder enige weerstand. Ik bedoel: leg het mes op een salami en snij zonder kracht te zetten en ie gaat er door als boter.
- De pull-tap werkt heel vlot, goede hefboom. Enig "minpunt" hier is dat flessen met een dunne flessenwand de pull-tap te dichtbij laten komen waardoor het mes over de kurk schuift. Maar dat is dan eerder vanwege de fles dan het mes zeg maar.

Conclusie: 
Dit wordt mijn trouwe metgezel voor menig picknickje & wandelweekend. We hebben samen al uitgebreid kennis gemaakt met m'n vrienden Malbec, Tokaj, en Primitivo. Het mes bezorgde ons moeiteloos plakjes kaas, salami, pata negra. En ook van formaatje magnum maakte dit mes geen probleem.

Ik zou zeggen: als je twijfelt, gewoon doen. Ga je geen spijt van hebben.

Muggenzifterij:
- Voor de puristen, dit mes komt eigenlijk uit de Wenger fabrieken. (zie je ook op het mes staan)
- €140 voor een kurkentrekker? Nou ja, ik trouw maar één keer, vooruit. Eerder een aankoop voor het leven dan "eentje voor erbij" dus.
- Had men nu nog een tandenstoker/pincet/pen voorzien was ie echt perfect.
