The **Uncle Henry Smokey Lockback LB5** is a compact, inexpensive pocket knife. This knife was originally designed as a hunting knife, but it also comes in handy as a gentleman's knife.



The blade is made from stainless 7Cr17MoV steel, which is very tough and easy to sharpen. This makes it a great hunting knife. The handle is made from pakka wood, a composite of layers of wood and synthetic resin. It is super strong, and has the appearance of wood. You open the knife with two hands, and a back lock ensures that it won't close when you don't want it to.



This knife comes with a leather sheath. The belt loop is large enough for belts up to 5.1 cm wide.

However, this does of course mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, though, and certainly in line with the prices.

Grand fan des couteaux Buck, je viens de trouver en cet élégant canif de fabrication chinoise le chaînon manquant entre le Buck 112 et le 55: à peu de choses près, on a la lame du 112 (en un peu moins large mais aussi longue), et le manche du 55, à quelques millimètres près (mais quand même plus adaptée à une main masculine). Le meilleur des deux mondes: une lame d'une longueur idéale, efficace et polyvalente, et un manche compact, plat, relativement léger, parfait pour la poche (mais un étui en cuir brun, très beau, est néanmoins fourni). Alors certes, c'est chinois, l'acier n'est pas le génial 420HC de Buck, et les cotes ne sont même pas en vrai bois d'arbre. En résumé, j'aurais préféré trouver un tel couteau chez Buck. Mais il n'existe pas, et en attendant, cette petite chose est assez impressionnante de qualité : à l'instar de la célèbre marque américaine, l'ajustement des pièces est parfait, la lame n'a absolument pas de jeu, le polissage des parties en laiton est magnifique. Reste à voir comment l'acier tiendra la coupe sur le long terme, mais sinon (et ça me fait mal de l'admettre, je m'étais promis de ne plus acheter de couteau provenant d'un pays non démocratique et pratiquant le dumping social), ben j'ai rien à redire, c'est parfait.

Let down on this. Ordered it as the one I wanted was out if stock to then receive an email after placing the order and it it had been dispatched that it was back in stock. This is a lot smaller than portrayed. Build quality seems adequate but time will tell
