The **Ruike Hornet F815** is a light-weight fixed knife. You will immediately understand why this knife only weighs 110 grams when you see it for the first time: the handle has completely been hollowed out. Not only to reduce weight, but also to make it look really cool. As such you will only lose weight and not the perfect ergonomics of the handle. After all the G10 handles offer you amazing grip. Are you going hiking and want to save even more weight. With a hex key (size 4) you can remove the handles and screws which will save you another 26 grams. In addition, you will immediately have created a place to store your paracord: you wrap it around the handle to ensure you will always have it around.


The blade is made from 14C28N steel. A stainless Swedish type of steel which perfectly maintains its sharpness. In addition, it is easy to sharpen this knife yourself. Another clever aspect of this knife is the stonewashed finish which makes small scratches practically impossible to see, which is great when you use the Hornet on a daily basis.


You can keep your Ruike Jager F815 close with the plastic pouch which has a wonderfully thin and compact design. Additionally useful is the sturdy belt clip: with a 360 degree rotation angle which will follow you wherever you go. With a torx 8 bit you can easily turn this right-handed knife into a left-handed one.

Even kort dan Ruike = vakmanschap + uitstekend staal + degelijk design en meer dan goede afwerking. Allemaal hier aanwezig even als het functionele hoesje met verstelbare riembevestiging. Die is alleen niet heel discreet. niettemin heb ik 2 van deze mesjes.

Snelle levering zoals gewoonlijk. Mooi budget mes  , komt zeer scherp uit de doos. Schede met de belt klip valt redelijk breed uit.

This knife was recommended on knife banter, and I wanted to try it out. The handle is surprisingly comfortable and I really enjoy it. The steel is the same as in the Mora Garberg which has served me pretty well so far. The knife sits securely in the sheath and the only real downside is that the sheath does build outwards and this can be a no no in some situations. The ability to adjust the orientation does make up for this to a degree. Does it have it’s shortcomings? Yes. Would I buy it again? Yes, that I would. All in all a very budget friendly option in my opinion. 

Een fantastisch handig mes. De kleine broer van de Ruike F118-B. Het mes ligt goed in de hand en is licht. Vooral de bevestiging aan de riem is handig. Het mes kan in verschillende richtingen aan de riem worden bevestigd. Kortom de koop zeker waard.
