The **Lansky Deluxe Sharpening system** was designed to give your knife a razor-sharp edge. The patented Lansky system makes it easy to always sharpen at a constant angle, ensuring the best possible results. You secure the knife in the clamp and, thanks to the guide system, you maintain a constant angle while sharpening. The Deluxe system contains sharpening stones made from aluminium oxide and ceramics. This sharpening system excels with knives up to ~12 cm blade length. Longer blades can also be sharpened with this system, although you will notice that the angle is slightly different.

## Lansky Guided grinding systems: numerous accessories 

One of the main advantages of this system is the amount of accessories. There are specific sharpening stones for almost any purpose. Even for curved or serrated knives: with Lansky you sharpen them to razor-sharp perfection. Even when sharp simply isn't sharp enough, you can choose to use even finer stones or even strops. Rock-solid steel? Use diamond-coated stones.

## Determining the sharpening angle.

The Lansky sharpening system allows you to choose between four sharpening angles. These angles are fixed, to make sure you always use the same angle. To find out what angle you should sharpen your knife at, you can usually consult the manufacturer. If the manufacturer does not have this information available, you can find out which angle to use yourself. This is done with the so-called 'marker' test. Draw a line on the fold of the blade with a waterproof felt-tip pen and carefully sharpen it slightly with a possible sharpening angle. The part of the line that has disappeared shows you if you are using the right angle. 

The Lansky system uses the following angles: 

  * 17-degree angle - often used for Japanese knives and razors. This angle leaves you with a very sharp, but vulnerable edge.

  * 20-degree angle - a common setting for most knives with a high-quality blade. The 20 degree sharpening angle is great for kitchen knives.

  * 25-degree angle - most knives that require a long-lasting sharp edge, such as hunting knives and outdoor knives, are sharpened at this angle. 

  * 30-degree angle - knives that are used heavily, such as wood, carpet or wire cutting, stay sharp for a long time with this angle. Recommended if you expose your knife to such harsh conditions. 

With the Lansky sharpening system, you always sharpen the knife one side at a time. To sharpen the other side, turn the knife and its holder upside down, or place the knife the other way around in the clamp.

The sharpening system comes with five stones and an extensive manual, to make sure you can quickly get to work.

Fabulous product forthe price! 
It can get a really sharp edge on your knifes. 
For premium steels would recommend the diamond plates version.


Ich habe nach längerer suche mich endlich dazu entschieden, einen Messerschärfer zu kaufen. 
Den Lansky Deluxe Sharpener hatte ich mir von einem Freund ausgeliehen. Nach mehreren Schleifversuchen hatte ich das Set dann hier bestellt und muss sagen, das ich zufrieden bin.

Das einzige was mich etwas stört ist, dass das Gummi vorne an der Halterung bei neueren Schleifsets abgeändert wurde. Etwas schade, aber kein Beinbruch.

Lieferung war schnell und super, die Verpackung auch.
Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Gerne wieder.

Fait le job sans problème sur des petite lame

Ich habe mir das Set gekauft um ein selbstgeschmiedetes Messer zu schleifen. 
Ich bin sehr zufrieden, das Set hilft auch Laien scharfe Messer hinzubekommen.
