The **Helle Gaupe** is an all-round outdoor knife. The name Gaupe means lynx in Norwegian. The handle is made from stunning birch wood and enhanced with a subtle finger guard. This is the protrusion on the handle that ensures you don't slip and end up on the blade. The handle was shaped, polished and oiled by hand to give it it's unique character. The blade is made from a core of hard stainless steel, laminated in between two layers of 18/8 stainless steel. This core has a razor-sharp edge and is easy to sharpen.


The knife comes with a traditional Scandinavian leather sheath.



## Maintaining Helle knives


Both the handle and the blade need to be dried with a soft towel if they get wet. We also recommended occasionally adding wax or oil.


The sheath should occasionally be impregnated with a colourless agent (grease or wax) to make sure it stays flexible. Dry the sheath carefully at room temperature if it gets wet.



All Helle knives are made and finished by hand. As such each knife is a unique masterpiece because every pattern is different.

Excellent couteau pour le bushcraft, camping ou simplement outdoor d'une manière générale. L'acier H3LS est vraiment excellent. Bien que cette construction ne soit pas adaptée pour des usages extrêmes  il en résulte un poids léger vraiment appréciable. Le manche remplit parfaitement la main, il est très confortable en toutes circonstances. Les matériaux naturel donnent bien plus de charme que les matières synthétiques. Compte tenu de la fabrication quasi artisanale 125€ est un tarif correct.

Kommt sehr scharf und der Holzgriff ist wunderschön. Die Lederscheide sitzt sehr gut.
