The **Gerber Vertebrae Fixed Blade 1051072** is a solid minimalist fixed knife. The Gerber Vertebrae has no unnecessary frills. The knife is made to be used, and does so perfectly!

The handle is constructed with a full-tang construction. This means that the blade and the frame of the handle are made from one piece of steel on which the scales are mounted. The rubber scales are enhanced with a light texture. As such, the Gerber Vertebrae feels great in hand, even in wet circumstances. The blade is made from 7Cr17MoV steel. The blade itself is enhanced with a rough stonewashed finish. This finish is great for concealing traces of use, so your knife will continue to look amazing after lots of use!

The sheath is made from FRN: fibreglass reinforced nylon. A very interesting aspect of the sheath is the elongated clip. Thanks to this clip you easily attach the Gerber Vertebrae to a bag or belt. The sheath itself contains a small threshold, it falls into the cut-out above the logo on the spine of the blade. As such, you can securely click the Vertebrae into the sheath.

There are two different versions. The Vertebrae with a 6.4 cm blade. But also the Spine, a larger version, with a 9.6 cm blade. So if you are looking for a larger size we've got you covered!

Das Messer selbst ist gut und liegt trotz der geringen Größe wider Erwarten gut in der Hand. Scheide gewöhnungsbedürftig, da sehr schwergängig. Das Herausziehen des Messer ist sehr hakelig. Nur mit beiden Händen und Kraft bekommt man das Messer heraus. Die Säge des Schweizer Messers lindert das Problem. 

Das ist ein knuffiges kleines Messer, dass man wegen der geringen Klingenlänge zudem auch noch mit sich herumtragen dürfte. Macht man wohl aber nicht, weil es sehr schwer ist. Der lange Klip ermöglicht es, das Messer im Stiefel zu tragen. Aber wann trägt man mal Stiefel? Andererseits ist dieses äußerst robuste Messer ein guter Begleiter - nur nicht zum Brotschneiden.

Tolles Messer für kleines Geld... nur den Clip für die Scheide check ich nich... warum so groß? Warum so scharfkantig? Da freut sich jede Hosentasche... ansonsten top!
