The Chef'sChoice Edge Crafter is an oval shaped sharpening steel that is coated with ultrafine diamond crystals. The sharpening steel is ideal for the daily maintenance of your (kitchen) knives. If you regularly sharpen your knife with this sharpening steel, you will also have a sharp edge to cut with and you can also postpone major maintenance for a longer time.  
  
 

The advantage of a diamond steel compared to a honing steel, is that the diamond sharpening steel actually sharpens the knife, while a honing steel only straightens out burrs in the edge. The effect of straightening the edge with a steel disappears quickly and some knives, specifically those of better quality, are too hard for the use of a honing steel.

Bastante mejor de lo esperado, devuelve bastante rápido el filo a cuchillos muy dañados. Yo lo usaría más para el día a día en cuchillos ya con filos buenos para no gastar tan rápido los micro diamantes.
