The **Casström No. 10 Swedish Forest Knife** is an amazing outdoor knife made in Sweden. When you hold this knife for the first time you will immediately notice the amazing ergonomics. This knife feels absolutely amazing in hand! The somewhat strange looking ‘dent’ in the handle contributes to the grip. Casström has designed this knife as an all-round outdoor knife. Hunting, fishing, bushcraft, food prep: this knife can do it all!


The blade is made from Sleipner steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. Good to know: after use you need to add a layer of oil to the blade as Sleipner isn’t stainless. This edition has been enhanced with a scandi grind. As such the blade is a little thicker and the edge a little more suited for woodwork.


The handle is made from stunning oak wood that has been treated with flaxseed oil. We recommend you use the same oil to properly protect the wood. To keep the blade in great shape we recommend Ballistol. A black liner has been placed in between the wood and the handle.


The Casström No. 10 Swedish Forest Knife comes with a decent leather sheath with a belt loop for belts up to (approximately) 6 cm.

Really difficult to make a choice. But the caastrom n°10 stood out by it's design. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, and I am so looking forward to be in Sweden and start to play with the knife while in the great outdoors! I am sure it will do everything I need!

Wat een degelijk mes! Het ligt erg goed in de hand, de ergonomie is top. Vlijmscherp. De schede is uit stevig leder vervaardigd, het mes zit er goed in vast. Een koperen revet zorgt ervoor dat je de draad van de schede niet per ongeluk kan kapot snijden. 

Un filo estupendo que hace justicia a sus reseñas. Se nota robusto sin resultar demasiado pesado y se siente con un equilibrado neutro. La ergonomía del mango es una de sus características diferenciales, bastante cómoda y un tanto particular con esa  curvatura posterior. Encaja bien en la mano con el rebaje para  el índice y la forma está bien definida y contorneada con cantos suavizados. Quizá algo estrecha en la parte posterior donde cierra el meñique para mi gusto. El vaciado escandinavo perfecto y muy afilado con una punta bastante afinada pero también más polivalente que parece apropiada combinada con el acero sleipner. Por último la funda es de cuero de buena calidad, sencilla, de estilo bushcraft moderno y con un buena retención del cuchillo que queda perfectamente encajado y con suficiente profundidad. En resumen un conjunto funcional para disfrutar del excursionismo y acampada en la naturaleza con  estilo clásico actualizado a los estándares actuales.
