The **Case Sod Buster Jr.** is a traditional pocket knife according to the Sod Buster pattern. A simple pocket knife, designed for the average farmer as a workers knife. You open it with two hands and a slipjoint firmly keeps the blade in place when opened. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.


## Case CV Carbon steel


The blade is made from Case Chrome Vanadium steel, also called CV steel. A type of steel that is praised for the fact that it can easily be sharpened. With only a minimal amount of effort you can end up with a razor-sharp knife. You do, however, have to look out for rust. Long-term exposure to moisture, salt or acids will discolour the blade or even cause rust. Enthusiasts will appreciate that a *patina* will form on the blade over time. This means that the steel will become matte, and grey. As such the knife will get a character of its own and become unique.


## Yellow Synthetic handle


The handle on this pocket knife is made from yellow synthetic material. The yellow colour ensures that the knife definitely stands out, in case you ever lose it. The synthetic material feels great in hand and even feels comfortable in very low temperatures.

The piece that I carry in my pocket every day; simple and useful; for me, perfect in its imperfection. A knife that is part of the history of cutlery and that does not pretend to be something it is not; although the finishes can be improved, its defects are part of its identity.

Muy bonita y una clásica para mi gusto un pelín más de calidad le haría falta en los acabados centrado de hoja limpieza y ajustes pero por lo demás buen producto el afilado de fábrica mejorable

On the plus side, a basic, useful knife that you can easily carry in your pocket to use, abuse, break or lose & not worry about. If something happens to it just buy another one 
On the negative side, the junior carbon steel version is a little small, will require constant cleaning & oiling & I feel a little expensive for what is a very basic knife with mediocre fit & finish. 

Il coltello mi ha deluso moltissimo: backspring troppo morbida al punto che quasi non ha resistenza quando la si vuol aprire e chiudere.
Le guancette sono troppo piccole per il coltello o sono state realizzate male, lasciando i liners e la backspring in rilievo rispetto al manico, ed un sottilissimo strato di guancetta (che era anche crepata) sopra i perni di ffissaggio della stessa, tanto che si vedeva il perno passare sotto la guancetta.
Avevo letto che case è un' "Hit or miss" sul controllo qualità, ma non mi aspettavo una così poca attenzione ai dettagli. Deluso.
