## About the wood carving knives


The blade is made from fine carbon steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. As such it will bend sooner than it will break, in case something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry! Keep in mind that carbon steel is not stainless. So don't store it while still wet. A couple drops of oil once in a while will make sure the blade stays in great shape.



The handle is made from ash wood. A strong type of wood that is also used for axe handles. The ergonomics of all BeaverCraft tools is great. But the good thing about wood carving knives is that you can always modify the handle yourself. To make it your own!

Sinds kort aan het houtsnijden geslagen. Na een paar leuke poppetjes e.d. gemaakt te hebben met 1 mes merkte ik dat ik wat extra tools nodig had voor wat extra’s te kunnen met de figuren en ideeen. Set geeft mij daar zeker de kans toe en ben dan ook heel blij met en de messen maar ook het opbergmapje. Top 👍

A really nice set of carving knives that should cover the needs of most beginners. So far I've only made a few small carvings using willow and sycamore but edge retention seems good and the handles are comfortable to grip for longer sessions. All in all, a decent set of midrange knives that should last a long time and won't break the bank.
