The knife is incredible as expected from Sakai! Super sharp, beautiful and a pleasure to use. My favorite knife in the kitchen at the moment. Knivesandtools also made the whole buying process easy and clear, support clarified some questions I had quickly and swiftly.

Super sharp out the box and great feel in the hand. This thing slices through nearly everything like butter with little to no pressure required. My first expensive knife and I can say it was worth every penny.

Over a period of time I have bought many 'kitchen' knives and I have not been disappointed but this Sakai Takayuki 'beggars belief.' Beautifully handsome and balanced, comfortable handle and a cutting edge to be believed. It is a pleasure to use.
