The **Laguiole en Aubrac Blue Poplar Burl** is a modern version of the classic Laguiole knife. The knife has a beautiful handle made from blue coloured poplar wood and a matted bolster and edge. This pocket knife is handcrafted to guarantee a refined finish.

## Stainless steel blade

The blade is made from stainless 12C27 Sandvik steel. This is a steel with a relatively high carbon content, making the knife hard as well as razor-sharp. Nevertheless, it isn't a steel that is prone to rust or ugly spots. It's also easy to sharpen if the knife starts to lose some of its sharpness over time.

## Blue poplar burl handle

The handle is made from the roots of a poplar tree. This type of wood has a rich grain and countless knots. A blue dye has been added during the stabilization of the wood. This gives the wood a very beautiful and almost magical appearance. There are also other special touches on the handle. The spine of the handle is richly decorated with hand-filed embellishments, the signature Laguiole bee is on top of this bolster, and the scales are attached with rivets.
