The **Jack Wolf Gateway Barlow GW-BAR-01-BLK-CF** is the first 'budget' or entry-level model from Jack Wolf Knives. But that does not mean it is 'lesser-than' previous models! ## Gateway Barlow steel

Instead of the well-known S90V normally used by Jack Wolf, Sandvik 14c28n was chosen for the Gateway Barlow. It's a nicely balanced blade steel from Sweden that has already proven itself on the market. It is stainless, pretty tough and easy to sharpen. In addition, it retains its sharpness well. What more could you possibly ask for?

## Carbon fibre handle

Carbon fibre is an incredibly strong material. For the handles of knives, carbon fibre sheet material is used. Here the carbon fibres, often woven first, are pressed under high pressure into a strong resin. The result is a super lightweight and super strong material.
