These **Flytanium Demko AD 20.5 Bitrate Titanium Scales Stonewashed** are very good aftermarket handle scales for your Demko AD20.5. They are well-fitting scales made by the experts at Flytanium. These scales are made from titanium with a cool bitrate texture.

Please note: that these handle scales are **not** compatible with the Demko AD20.5 knives with Smooth Titanium, Textured Titanium or Carbon Fibre handle.

These handle scales make the AD20.5 a bit thicker than the standard scales, from 1 cm to approx. 1.3 cm. These scales come with 4 long pocket clip screws. Two are satinised and two have a black coating. In addition, these handle scales hide the Shark Lock pins on the front of the knife for a sleek look. 

## Tips when installing

Adding new scales or other accessories isn't without risk! To prevent damage to screws and scales, always use suitable screwdrivers and never force anything. We prefer to add a piece of a plastic bag in between the bit and the screw to prevent any damage to the screws. If the screws are stuck, it is important not to force them. Carefully heat them with a hairdryer or tap the back of the screwdriver to break the loctite.

Also check the warranty conditions of the manufacturer: for some brands the warranty expires the moment you start working on the knife yourself. You add the scales at your own risk. We are not liable for damages that you may cause to the knife or accessory.

A pesar de que en la descripción del producto especifica: "estas cachas no son compatibles con los cuchillos Demko AD20.5 con mango con mango Smooth Titanium, Textured Titanium o Carbon Fibre", lo que no especifica es que SÓLO son compatibles con la versión antigua del AD 20.5 con tornillo de pivote pequeño. Si tu AD 20.5 es de los modelos actuales (que tienen un tornillo de pivote aplanado y grande, con la escritura " DEMKO KNIVES", estas cachas no son compatibles.

Es posible hacerlas compatibles fresando alrededor del agujero con unas brocas de carburo de tungsteno, y limando los pasadores delanteros para acortarlos, pero requiere mucho trabajo y el resultado final no será el de unas cachas de 150€. Yo lo hice, y no vale la pena el esfuerzo salvo que poseas una mesa de maquinado de metal.

Mal por mi parte por no percatarme de este detalle, pero mal también por parte de Knives and Tools por no especificar este detalle tan importante.
