Finger choil is too small for my (normal sized!) finger so I widened it with a dremel. Edge bevel was too wide for my preference so I convexed and narrowed it. No sheath supplied so I bought an Armatus Carry Architect (which is excellent). Black blade coating adds to friction when cutting so I removed it (with paint stripper). With these changes made it is now a very good small survival knife. Very tough, no cutouts in handle. Good carver, good batonner. The only remaining negative is the handle isn't the most comfortable. I see why as they've gone for a slim profile (the most important quality in a survival knife is having it on you when you need it!), but it does make it a bit uncomfortable to use for longer sessions. If I were to buy again I'd go for the "3D" handle version.
