The **Böker Tenera chef's knife, large** should be a part of your basic equipment. It is enhanced with a slightly broader and longer blade. The slim tip is perfect when cutting onions or smaller vegetables. Because of its length you can also use it as a carving knife or to cut larger vegetables.


## Böker Tenera blade: C75 or 4034 steel.


The Tenera collection is comprised of eight knives. Four come with a blade made from C75 steel. The other four come with a blade made from 4034 steel. 


This large chef's knife is enhanced with a blade made from 4034 steel. A classic steel from Solingen. Rock-solid, stainless and easy to sharpen. The steel has a hardness of approx. 54, 55 HRC and can easily handle any challenge in the kitchen. With this type of steel you can choose from a vegetable knife, santoku knife, large chef's knife and a breakfast knife.


## Böker Tenera handle: ice beech wood.


The handle is made from ice beech wood. Ice beech wood is a type of beech wood. The special colour emerges because of a fungus. This fungus develops each time the beech wood falls over. The moisture allows the fungus to develop well. Once dried, the growth of the fungus stops. This makes it possible to make beautiful knife handles. The name "Eisbuche" refers to the effect of the veined drawing, which might remind you of jagged icebergs. This wood is seamlessly attached to the blade with four rivets.
