The **Fox Knives NU-Bowie** is a chic pocket knife that offers great value for money. You open the blade with two hands by simultaneously pushing the button lock and opening the blade with the nailnick. Once fully open, the same button lock locks the blade. To close the blade, hold the button lock again and push the blade back. This goes very smoothly!

The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough tool steel that can take a beating, stays sharp for a long time and is also easy to sharpen. It does need some maintenance now and then, because D2 isn't completely stainless. Nevertheless, the advantages of this steel make it a great steel.

The minimalist handle is made from micarta: a strong composite material made from linnen and synthetic resin. It is strong and offers plenty of grip, even in wet situations.

Toen ik dit mesje voor het eerst in mijn handen had merkte ik onmiddellijk dat de micarta greepschalen een beetje los zaten. Na wat zoeken bleek dat de 2 schroeven die net boven de pocketclip het mes bij elkaar houden net iets te lang zijn. Ze zijn van weerszijden ingeschroeft maar omdat ze te lang zijn botsen ze tegen elkaar, alvorens de greepschamen te kunnen klemmen, waardoor deze losjes zitten. Ik zag ook dat de backspacers een beetje speling hadden, ook om dezelfde reden dat die schroefjes iets te lang zijn. Heb daarom het mes uit elkaar gehaald en de schroefjes elk 1 mm ingekort (met fijn tangetje vastgehouden en voorzichtig tegen bandschuurmachine) Daarna alles terug ineen en nu konden de greepschalen wel netjes vastgezet worden en was de speling bij de backspacers verdwenen.
Misschien was dit alleen bij mijn mes het geval, maar mochten er nog mensen zijn met dit probleem...Nu weet je hoe het op te lossen.
Wel beetje raar dat ze bij Black Fox dit niet opgemerkt hebben. 
Verder een prima mesje. Wel op tijd wat fijne olie op het lemet, want de D2 vertoonde na 2 dagen al heeel lichte roestpartickels.
