## Using the Skerper sharpening stone

## The Skerper Basic ceramic sharpening steel


To maintain the sharpness of your knives daily you can use the Skerper Basic ceramic sharpening steel. It will give your knives that little extra needed sharpness. The ceramic is really fine in grain and structure, and will take only a very small amount of steel from the blade. Just enough to remove burrs and small traces of use. When you notice you’re not cutting through tomatoes as smoothly, use the sharpening steel shortly and your knife will fly through them like never before!

Perfecte set voor beginners, zeg ik als absolute beginner. Vier verschillende 'grits' zijn voor nu in ieder geval even genoeg om mijn messen mee te verbeteren en onderhouden. Behapbaar en niet te tijdsconsumerend. Verrast was ik het meeste door de slijpstaaf, die voegt meer toe aan het einde van de progressie dan ik gedacht had. Kleine foutje van mij is dat ik de stenen te snel terug in de kartonnen doos had gestopt, dacht dat ze droog waren maar dat was niet zo. Geen ramp, uiteraard. Echte aanrader, ik heb er veel plezier van.

Ooit een steen uitgeleend en niet terug gekregen. Een Skerper video op de site heeft me overgehaald het opnieuw op te pakken. Messen genoeg. Een paar oude messen gebruikt om 'er weer in te komen'. Resultaat mag er zijn. 
Handig dat het 4 gradaties zijn en een mooie 'ceramic sharpening rod'. 

Ressenti qualitatif pour un premier jeu de pierres, prise en main simple et sans surprise avec les vidéos qui vont bien pour découvrir l'aiguisage / affutage.
